We use data from the results of common formative assessments to know if students have learned.

We have plans for when students have not learned (reteach/retest).

We differentiate to accelerate learning when it is helpful.

Naviance:  New College and Career Program at UHS!

UHS Counselors will be working with students in grades 9-12 on a new college and career program called Naviance.  We will begin with our seniors in December and continue with students in grades 9-11 during semester 2.  In addition to college and career exploration, students will work on course planning by completing and updating 4-year plans.  The Naviance program will eventually be accessible to parents, so we encourage you to visit with your students after they have created accounts and started planning for life during and after high school.  Counselors are currently meeting with students; all students should have accounts sometime during 2nd semester.  In the meantime, parents are encouraged to visit the Naviance website to learn what the program can do for Urbandale students.  Our hope is that once your student has an account, parents and students will take the opportunity to log in to Naviance so parents can be included in planning for every student's success.

Special Ed. Olympics...UHS Award Winners!

More Special Olympics

Athletes competed in the Special Olympics regional track and field meet on April 18th. The team brought back many blue, red, and yellow ribbons. First place winners will qualify for State Special Olympics in May!
